Community Ownership Fund

Alexander welcomed the announcement that both Wickersley and Anston were successful in their bids for the Government's Community Ownership Fund.

Wickersley Parish Council was awarded £264,000 for the Winthrop Gardens Redevelopment Project, which will see a new cafe built, securing the long-term future of the Gardens.

Anston Parish Council was awarded £272,803 for their Old Library Building project, which will help turn this historic building into a learning centre.

Alexander was very pleased to be able to provide his support to the bids for both projects.

The Community Ownership Fund, helps local community groups protect local assets at risk of being lost through community ownership and/or to renovate, repair, or refurbish an asset to make it sustainable for the long term
