Responding to the news that three labour Councillors have been removed from Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) for not attending any meetings in the past six months, Alexander Stafford the Conservative Member of Parliament for Rother Valley blasted:
“It is an absolute disgrace that three Labour councillors have not been to any meetings in over half a year. Not only are Labour not isn’t listening to people, it also confirms that Labour isn’t bothering to even try and work for people. Once again it shows the utter contempt that Labour have for residents across Rother Valley. They just don’t care anymore. During these Coronavirus times, our local communities need more support, rather than councillors don’t even turn up for a single meeting. This means for the whole of next year the residents of Rother Valley will have less of a voice on Rotherham council and will get less support and help from a party that is clearly taking us all for granted.”
