- Alexander Stafford, Member of Parliament for Rother Valley, today visited Waverley estate and Advanced Manufacturing Park with representatives from Howarth
Alexander Stafford, MP for Rother Valley, joined representatives from Howarth for a walkabout in Waverley.
The area has seen significant changes in recent years and these are currently still underway. When completed, the Waverley estate will provide 3,000 homes, and the planned Advanced Manufacturing Park will provide thousands of high-quality jobs.
Howarth also shared with Alexander, a keen transport and town regeneration campaigner since his election, plans for a new transport hub and a vision for improving the town centre.
Commenting, Alexander said:
It was great to meet Howarth recently to discuss their vision to complete the transformation of Waverley, with a new transport hub and an overhaul of the town centre.
We need better transport links for residents, and especially a new train station for the area.
