Alexander Stafford, local Member of Parliament for Rother Valley, spoke to residents in Treeton and Waverley at his latest Street Surgeries.
The popular series of events began last year in Swallownest and had to be paused due to rising cases of coronavirus and changing restrictions. Since these were eased in recent weeks, the street surgeries have recommenced, with Alexander visiting Thurcroft, Kiveton Park, Woodsetts, Maltby, Whiston and returning to Swallownest, with future events in the works.
These complement Alexander's regular programme of traditional surgeries, which can either be held virtually or in person upon request.
His latest events, held in Treeton and Waverley, gave him the opportunity to speak to locals there about the issues that matter most to them.
Commenting, Alexander said:
It has been fantastic to kickstart my popular Street Surgery series once again and I have loved visiting the places I have been able to get to so far. I always have really engaging and varied conversations with residents and that's why I am looking forward to future events in the coming weeks and months.
If you would like to see me in your area, please email me and let me know so I can add it to the list!
