Today the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock, has recorded a personal message to praise the Rother Valley local vaccine rollout.
Rother Valley is vaccinating residents at a speed that is above the national average in terms of vaccines administered as part of the national vaccine rollout. So far 30.3% of residents (29,417) have had at least one jab.
The Secretary of State thanked staff working at both the Anston Medical Centre and Oak House vaccine site in Bramley, in addition to all NHS staff, local volunteers, local authorities and Alexander Stafford, the local MP.
Vaccinations are crucial in the fight against the coronavirus and Alexander has extended his sincere thanks to everyone who has made this local achievement possible.
Commenting, Alexander Stafford MP said:
“I am so pleased that due to the immense dedication of our staff and local volunteers, Rother Valley is above the national average in terms of vaccines administered as part of our national vaccine rollout.
“Vaccines are absolutely crucial in our fight against the coronavirus and it is so important to spread the message that having the jab is good for you and your loved ones.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the army of NHS staff and local volunteers across Rother Valley who have made our achievement possible, especially those working at the Anston Medical Centre and the Oak House in Bramley.”
Matt Hancock, the Health Secretary commented:
“I want to thank everybody in Rother Valley for the incredible hard work in getting this vaccination effort moving so well.
