ALEXANDER STAFFORD MP URGES BUSINESSES TO TAKE PART IN NEW UK-WIDE LOCAL TOURISM CAMPAIGN

  • Local MP, Alexander Stafford is backing the £5 million ‘Escape the Everyday’ campaign that highlights the quality destinations, attractions and experiences on offer in Rother Valley and other locations across the UK.
  • Alexander Stafford MP is urging tourism businesses, visitor attractions and destinations in Rother Valley to get involved.

 

The ‘Escape the Everyday’ campaign, delivered in partnership between VisitEngland, London & Partners, VisitScotland, Visit Wales and Tourism Northern Ireland, has kicked off this month. 

Businesses can download a free ‘Escape the Everyday’ campaign toolkit that includes marketing materials for destinations and tourism businesses across the UK to download, adapt and use for their own promotion purposes. The toolkit also includes details of partnership opportunities and an interactive map to help people locate partnering businesses in their area: https://goodtogo.visitbritain.com/discover

Alexander Stafford MP is urging more businesses in his constituency to sign up.

 

Commenting, Alexander Stafford MP said:

 

“I am delighted to see so many local businesses in my constituency sign up to take part in the ‘Escape the Everyday’ campaign. I hope this will help boost domestic tourism locally in our beautiful Rother Valley.”

 

“I hope to see many more tourism businesses, visitor attractions and other destinations in Rother Valley sign up in the coming weeks.”

 

“Tourism needs all of us to help get the industry to get back on its feet. There has never been a better time to explore England.”

 

 

Commenting, Clare Mullen, Director of Marketing at VisitEngland said:

 

 “Businesses and visitor attractions right across the country have also been working flat-out to welcome visitors back safely, adapting and innovating to meet new ways of working and still providing a great experience.”

 

“The Escape the Everyday campaign, part of the UK Government’s GREAT Britain and Northern Ireland campaign, is expected to generate more than 200,000 additional domestic overnight holiday trips in the UK.”
