Rother Valley MP Alexander Stafford joined forces this weekend with Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival to help raise funding for the Rotherham Cancer Care Centre.
Alexander praised the work that the centre has done for the community and met with the festival volunteers to thank them for supporting such an important cause. Since the festival began it has raised over £150,000 for local good causes and Alexander was keen to show his support, even trying his hand at pulling a pint.
The festival also offered the opportunity for the Rother Valley MP to speak to local residents and understand the key issues that they are concerned with.
Commenting Alexander Stafford MP said:
“It was a real pleasure to be at the Rotherham Real Ale Festival this weekend, helping to raise vital funding for Rotherham Cancer Care Centre. The centre is vital to our local community and has supported many of my constituents.
“The festival raises funding for some of the most important local good causes and it was a genuine pleasure to be able to attend and support this year’s event.
“Our communities benefit from this festival and it is a time to enjoy some of the local Ale and Music, whilst supporting a good cause. I am already looking forward to next year’s festival, where I am sure it will be even bigger and better.”
